This girl comes in from waiting for the bus.....

''Are these shoes from all independent retailers?''

The worst thing is I knew what she was asking. Why she was asking it, I have no clue. o.

me:''huh? what do you mean?''

her: ''ARE THESE SHOES FROM INDEPENDENT RETAILERS?''

Me: ''I have no idea what you are asking me.

her: are the companies you buy from independent retailers?!

me: I AM THE RETAILER, THEY ARE THE WHOLESALERS. WHAT ARE YOU ASKING ME? WHAT DO YOU WANT TO KNOW?

I knew exactly what she wanted to know. Are the shoes she has no intention of buying made painstakingly by a little unknown cobbler.

She sighed. ''are they......''

me: ''are you asking if they are a rare brand of shoe?''

her: ''yes!''

me: ''no. those $30 sandals are from Brazils largest shoe manufacturer. They aren't so well known in the US, I also have crocs which are now omnipresent.''

THEN SHE ASKED ME WHAT TIME IT WAS!
