There are 3 feral cats living in our shed. A mama and two kittens.

They come out and sit in the backyard when no one is there and of course run into a hidey hole in the old shed when I let Mona and edie out.

I've known they were around for 3 weeks but this is the first night I've noticed them hanging in the backyard and playing. so cute!

We don't want pet cats in the house, 2 dogs and a bunny are enough. I went out there and left two cans of tuna open and a container of water and watched from the window. They gobbled the food up and one of the kittens knocked the water over.

What should I do? Should I keep feeding them like the feral cats in Rome? But what kind of life is that? And Mona and edie go crazy and want to eat the food and come out and chase the cats.

Do I call animal control? She's a nice lady, the woman in charge of our town's animal control but I feel like I'm dooming them to death. Would I be?
