Oh my god. People are so funny.

A customer that works at the Women's Center just told me the funniest story.

They sponsor The Clothesline Project, a nationwide project to bring attention to Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

It's t-shirts decorated by survivors of sexual assault, incest, domestic violence and attacks spurred by sexual orientation displayed on a clothesline.

The concept of hanging the T-shirts stems from the traditional practice of women exchanging information while pinning laundry to the line. Or some shit like that.

She said every year they hang the display in the breezeway of the Faner building at SIU and at least two women stop, look, shuffle through the displays and say, ''These are so cute! How much are they?''

She said one year it was a a t-shirt w/a pair of bloody, ripped underpants pinned to it and a message that reads, "When you raped me, this isn't all you tore."

Last year it was a really graphic drawing of a devil raping a woman.
