People are so nice and I want to say thank you. Thank you so much.

It wasn't supposed to go like this. When we got Mona in June we thought she could usher Lucy in to old age. Lucy would show Mona the ropes.

We never got to take them both swimming at Campus Lake. We were waiting for the arthritis treatment to kick in and make Lucy's leg feel better so we kept putting it off. Now Lucy will never swim there again and Mona will have to learn how to swim on her own.

We are never going to see Lucy again. We loved her for 11+ years and now she's gone. Forever.

Watching Mona play w/lucy's toys, lie on her beds, drink from her water bowl should help but it feels wrenching.
