lucy's sick

We're back home and lucy is very sick. She took a turn for the worse last night. She couldn't get up this morning. We took her to a vet up by my mom's and they gave her intravenous antibiotics and hydrated her enough to drive the 6 hours.

She slept the entire way

We just left her at the vet. She has a deep infection and a fever of 106. her eyes and nose are leaking goo. She's septic.

it's some kind of bladder infection.

I feel awful because we thought it was just her arthritis and side effects from a new arthritis medicine, Medcam.

The other stuff, the Rymadhol, seemed like it stopped working so we had switched.

She must have been sick all weekend and we thought it was leg pain.

we left all the animals there still w/lucy since we're all teary and tired.

we'll come first thing in the morning and our vet said she'd call.

She had a 'galloping' heart rate, that's not good. But the vet said a high fever is better than a low one because it means she's fighting her infection.
